NC DMV LONG WAIT TIMES !!! Automation needed to alleviate this problem. If you have been to the NC DMV for any reason in Wake county, you can tell that the lines are unacceptably horrible. The wait times are over 3 to 4 hours for any type of work. I don't think NC DMV is equipped to handle the loads it is receiving and it seems they are doing NOTHING about it. In the meantime the consumer is suffering due to the long wait times, loss of wages and other hardships, just to get their driving paperwork kept up to date as per the law requires. I am SUGGESTING a few services like the drivers permit written exam and the driver test be OUTSOURCED to third party vendors like the Driving Schools or any such other agency where the DMV can trust that the state guideline can be followed to provide these services. For TRUE ID, it makes no sense to bring people into the DMV office to verify their Passport, Social Security and Address evidence. It can be fully automated by ...
